Nisar Ahmad Shah Naqushbandi, father of Ubeer Naqushbandi passed away on Friday at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Soura. He was unwell for the last few years.
Shah was laid to rest at a local graveyard in Ahmednagar Srinagar. He is survived by wife, son and a daughter.
According to a family source, the mourning will be held for four days at their residence at Al-Hamza Colony (House No.4) in Ahmednagar.
Ubeer Naqushbandi is a Kashmiri journalist working for daily local newspaper Greater Kashmir. He was earlier associated with Kashmir Life, The Indian Express and Hindustan Times.
