Authorities today did not allow Media Persons of Islamabad District to cover a Function in Dakbanglow Islamabad.
A large posse of police and paramilitary forces deployed at outside Dakbanglow stopped media persons from covering the function.
Journalists present their said that we tried to enter the premises of Dakbanglow Islamabad in South Kashmir to cover the event but security personnel deployed there told that Media persons are not allowed to cover the event.
A police officer told journalists no one would be allowed towards Dakbanglow to cover function.
Islamabad working Journalists (AWJ) strongly condemns the Media Gag by Authorities. Later, all the journalists working for different Media outlets in protest left the spot and decided to boycott functions of district administration in future.
