SRINAGAR: The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Jammu and Kathua districts on May 30 and subsequent dates to facilitate maintenance and distribution works.
According to the Chief Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL Jammu, power supply to Transport Nagar, Narwal, Railway Colony, Upper Chowadi, parts of Channi Himmat, Malik Market, Matto Colony Bathindi, Sunjwan, Bahu Fort and adjoining areas will remain affected on May 30 from 6 am to 10 am.
Power supply to Bathindi, Sunjwan and adjoining areas will also remain disrupted on the same day from 6 am to 6.30 am and again from 10.30 am to 11 am.
Similarly, electricity supply to the Industrial Area Bari Brahmana will remain affected on May 30 from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Meanwhile, the Superintending Engineer (Distribution), JPDCL O and M Circle Kathua, said power supply to Taloor and adjoining areas will remain affected on May 30, May 31 and June 1 from 6 am to 2 pm.
In addition, power supply to Jakh and adjoining areas will remain affected on May 30 from 7 am to 12 noon.
Consumers in the affected areas have been advised to make necessary arrangements to minimise inconvenience during the scheduled shutdown period.
