JRL calls for shutdown against civilian killings


The joint resistance leadership on Saturday has called for a valley-wide shutdown on Sunday against the ‘recent killings in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

In a statement, they appealed people to observe a shutdown on Saturday.

Two civilians were killed and nine others injured after government forces opened fire on protesters in Ganowpora village of Shopian district on Saturday.

Similarly, another youth was also killed in Shopian district by the forces during an encounter on Wednesday and similar others were injured.
