Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) has called for a valley-wide shutdown on Friday against the recent killings in Kashmir.

In a statement, the spokesman said’ “even in the holy month of Ramadhan there is no letup in killings and bloodshed in Kashmir as civilians, armed youth or even Indian forces are getting killed.”

Joint Resistance Leaders in a statement made a fervent appeal to observe a complete shutdown on May 17, 2019, Friday against the “gruesome” killings of innocent civilians Arshad Ahmad Dar (Pattan), Raies Ahmad Dar (Pulwama) and Nayeem Ahmad Shah (Baderwah) during the ongoing holy month of Ramadan.

JRL also appealed, especially the youth to maintain peace and discipline while leading the protest march after Friday prayers in the nook and corner of the state.

Blaming Delhi of turning Jammu and Kashmir into shambles and a war field where people suffer from a deep sense of insecurity, the JRL said our life, honour and all belongings are at stake.

Expressing its grave concern on the volatile situation, JRL appealed UN Secretary-General to take strong note of the gross “violation” of human rights in Jammu and Kashmir and help resolve it in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of the people.
