The Joint Resistance Leadership on Thursday said that the International community acknowledges the rights of prisoners and those trampling these rights have no right to call themselves Democrats.

The spokesman said Joint resistance leadership will do everything possible to secure justice for Kashmiri inmates.

This was stated by the JRL comprising of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik while condemning the ongoing onslaught against Kashmiri inmates.

A delegation of JRL led by Muhammad Yasin Malik visited state Human rights commission office in Srinagar and met the chairman of commission justice Bilal Nazki and other members of commission to discuss the plight of Kashmiri inmates especially those lodged at central jail Srinagar and expressed serious concern on shifting of many including lifers, under-trials, political prisoners and detainees to various Jammu jails.

A spokesman said that commission listened to the plea of JRL delegation humbly and asked to submit a written complaint to the office of SHRC tomorrow on March 2nd, 2018.

Meanwhile, JRL paid the rich tributes to the people killed by government forces in Zakoora and Tengpora Batamaloo bypass localities of Srinagar in 1990 when millions of Kashmiris had gathered at UN office Sonwar seeking freedom from the Indian government.
