SRINAGAR: Junaid Matoo parted ways with the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples conference on September 26. While confirming the disassociation with the party, Matoo Tweeted, “This is something that has evolved over the last couple of months due to my differences on certain stands and issues.”
PC chairman Sajad lone also tweeted, “The party’s association with Mr. Mattu has ended weeks back.”
“I’m glad the speculations have ended and there is a confirmation from both sides today that my association with Peoples Conference has come to an end.” I don’t agree with the party’s carte blanche to allow the National Conference to absolve itself of its ingenuity and insincerity – through history and today in the context of the post-August 5th scenario said the Junaid.
Junaid was the party chief spokesperson prior to his disassociation. A source in the PC revealed that Matoo was at the ideological loggerheads with the party on the Gupkar Declaration stand.
