SRINAGAR: The Central Government on Thursday (31st December) notified the appointment of Justice Pankaj Mithal, presently a judge of the Allahabad High Court (Lucknow Bench), as the Chief Justice of the Jammu & Kashmir High Court.
Justice Mithal graduated in Commerce from Allahabad University in the year 1982 and passed L.L.B. from Meerut College, Meerut affiliated to Ch. Charan Singh University in the year 1985.
He enrolled as an advocate in Bar Council of U.P. in the Year 1985. Elevated as Additional Judge on 07/07/2006. Took oath as permanent Judge on Jul 02, 2008.
