Srinagar
The encounter in Karan Nagar area of Srinagar district in Central Kashmir entered the second day Tuesday as the forces exchanged fresh fire with holed-up militants in the wee hours.
Police sources said no new casualty has been reported today.
As reported earlier encounter between militants had broken out at Karan Nagar on Monday in which a CRPF man was killed and one policeman was injured.
Meanwhile, Curfew-like restrictions were imposed in many areas of Srinagar and high-speed mobile internet was also snapped.
