Yet another deadline passed and the dream of the People of Kargil is still a dream. December, 21, was announced the date for landing and inaugurating of Civil Air Service in Kargil but it does not happen on Friday.

Two days back in a press release of the Member Parliament Ladakh Haji Ghulam Hassan Khan, it was reported that the concerned ministry has requested the Chief Minister of J&K to inaugurate Civil Air Service from Kargil on 21st December, 2012.

Earlier in the month of November, A private Airline ‘ Mantra Airlines’ had announced to start service to border district of Kargil in Ladakh region, which remains cut off during winter months due to closure of Srinagar-Leh highway. The Company had also Trail landed in Kargil two times and the Civil Aviation had already made requisite arrangements at Kargil Airport.

Meanwhile the AN 32 Courier Service has been suspended for some days due to unknown reason and for the facility of the General Public the Government has made arrangement for IL 76 Service from Leh to Jammu. It’s to mention here that the AN32 didn’t play for a single time since its inception for this year from Kargil.

Hundreds of passengers stranded for the past two weeks at Kargil protested against government for failing to airlift them to Jammu and Srinagar.

Hundreds of Passengers were stranded in Kargil due to the cancellation of AN32 Courier Service.

“People in Kargil are the main victim and are thinking that they are being given step motherly treatment by the government as well as the Indian Air force,” said a citizen of Kargil.

Kargil people have started protesting on the social websites now.
