SRINAGAR: The administration of Sub-Division Karnah has advised residents still staying in Dhoks and other high-altitude areas to return to their native villages in view of adverse weather conditions forecast over the coming days.
The advisory comes amid expectations of heavy rainfall in the plains and snowfall in higher reaches, with authorities urging residents to take precautionary measures ahead of the anticipated deterioration in weather.
Residents have also been asked to bring their livestock and other domestic animals back to their villages.
Lambardars and Chowkidars in the affected areas are coordinating the safe return of residents. The administration has urged the public to cooperate with the arrangements and inform the concerned Lambardar or the Office of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Karnah, about any family that remains in such areas, along with its location, to facilitate timely assistance.
Authorities have asked residents to treat the advisory as urgent and return without delay in the interest of their safety.
