Despite Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s directives , authorities have turned a blind eye towards the Medical facility at remote Karnah  Tangdhar . The residents of the area alleged that the lady has recently died due to non availability of ambulance. “We don’t have electricity in the hospital. The officials are relying on gas.”  The residents alleged.

Meanwhile BMO Karnah Mohd. Yousuf told KNS that he had made so man pleas to higher authorities regarding the non availability of Power supply to the hospital but nothing has been done yet.

“Chief Minister during his visit here had directed authorities for providing the power facility but nobody seems bothered.” BMO told KNS.

He said that there are two ambulances with the hospital, however both of them are non functional. He said that though the local NHPC officers had promised of a power supply to the hospital so that we could carry out surgeries, but they seem to have backtracked from their promises.

Locals alleged that the hospital has suffered severe damage during 2005 earthquake and has not been fully resorted even after 8 years.

Meanwhile Director Heath Services said that the funds have been already released.

“We have released the funds and I will see, why these funds  have not been utilized as yet.” Director health services Kashmir. Dr. Saleem ur Rehman told KNS on Monday.
