SRINAGAR: An 18-year-old youth from Srinagar is feared to have drowned after reportedly slipping into Nallah Sindh while taking a bath near the Dumping Park at Kijpara in Kangan area of Ganderbal district on Friday.
The youth has been identified as Danish Bilal, son of Bilal Ahmad Hajam, a resident of Hafiz Bagh near Kashmir University in Srinagar.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the youth was bathing in the waterway. Following the incident, police from Kangan and local residents rushed to the spot and launched a search operation to trace him.
Efforts to locate the missing youth were underway when this report was filed. (KNT)
