Pakistan’s former cricketing star, Shahid Khan Afridi’s name echoed in Kashmir district Baramulla on Sunday. The venue was cricket stadium Kunzer and the match was final of army-sponsored Chinar Cricket tournament.
The local youth present as spectators raised intense slogans in the name of Pakistani heartthrob, famous in the valley, Afridi.
“Boom boom Afridi,” reverberated at high pitch with few slogans of praising local militants as well.
The match was being played in presence of India’s captain cool, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Dhoni is honourary Lt Colonel in Indian army.
Camping in the valley from last many days, Dhoni during his stay met youth related to sports and also students of army school. He also visited Uri along the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday.
