It was my father Muhammad Ishaq Bhat who always encouraged and inspired me,” Danish Bhat told CNS adding that his love for Kashmir will never dwindle.
“My roots are from Kashmir. My family and friends are there. I visit there,” he added.
“I wish to burn the silver screen by my performance as one of the lead roles. About his movie Danish reveals, “Ho Gaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi is a complete comedy-love story. I am playing a lead role of ‘Veeru’, younger son to well-known face Kadir Khan. The promotions have begun, the trailer and songs are out. We are just waiting for October 16 next month, when this movie will hit the silver screens,” he said.
This Kashmiri lad said that his first Bollywood Movie takes laughter to its original form with five great comedians Om Puri, Sanjay Mishra, Raajpal Yadav, Razzaq Khan and the veteran Qadir Khan coming together. It is produced by Santosh Bhartiya and Fauzia Arshi. It has music, story, dialogues and direction by Fauzia Arshi.
Responding to a question, the actor from Kashmir said that Kashmiris are known for good looks and hard work but one must also have an attitude and talent to hit the bulls’ eye.
A bachelor of science, this Kashmiri lad made his TV debut as an actor in a daily soap Amrit Manthan. “I wanted to become a model. Prior stepping into TV, I did a few commercials with MS Dhoni, SRK, Priyanka Chopra and did various print shoots. Somehow, I got to know from someone that Director of the show is looking for a new face so I gave my audition and after a series of look tests I was selected for Adhiraj Singh’s character which demanded a different attitude. I did an acting course as well from Kishore Namit Kapoor.”
