KULGAM: Authorities today renamed Government Degree College (GDC) Kilam after Inspector Mohammad Altaf Ahamd Dar alias Altaf Laptop, who lost his life while discharging his duty a few years ago.
It was informed that Dar was a resident of Village Zungalpora Kulgam and got killed in the year 2015.
Meanwhile today a naming ceremony of the college was organized which was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, SSP Kulgam, GV Sandeep, ADC, ACR, Principal GDC Kilam, Students and college staff besides his Father and relatives also attended college’s naming ceremony.
During this ceremony services, capabilities and professionalism of Mohammad Altaf Dar was recalled, said the statement.
