Reacting to the statement of former union minister and National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah wherein he has said that he was with Hurriyat, Dukhtaran-e-Millat Tuesday lashed out at him and said that it was because of the surrender of NC founder Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah that Kashmiri’s are still suffering.

“The mistake of turning Muslim Conference into National Conference was a historical blunder that Sheikh committed under the pressure of his master in Delhi and which is the reason of the sufferings of the people of Kashmir,” read the statement.

“This implicates that Sheikh was not a man of principles but would rather change sides often. Whatever they are saying now has ended only when sheikh changed his principles. He has historically been a traitor and continues to be so till date,” the statement adds.

A spokesperson of DeM said that these people are opportunists of highest order and can change their colors in a jiffy.

“People should remain vigilant of these opportunist people since they have made fools out of people in the past and are will try to do so in future.”

Meanwhile Dukhtaran-e-Millat chairperson Syedah Aasiyah Andrabi was Tuesday brought to SMHS hospital for treatment from Baramulla sub jail.

“She has been detained under draconian PSA at Baramulla sub jail, where her health deteriorated. She is an asthma and an orthopedic patient, said the party’s spokesman.
