SRINAGAR: A well-known Kashmiri dietician Dr Beenish Zohra has successfully completed PADI, Open Water Scuba Diving course in Dubai.
Dr Beenish, who hails from Srinagar is a Research scholar (PhD) in Diet and Nutrition and is passionate about Scuba diving.
“I am obsessed with marine life especially sharks and happy that I haven’t been on their menu yet,” Dr Beenish told Kashmir Life over phone from Dubai. “The vibrant and alive undersea environment looks like an art gallery, which can be explored in awe-inspiring ways with scuba diving.”
She said she is gearing up for the next level course and aspires to be an instructor one day.
Dr Beenish said the youth who are interested in scuba diving must take their time so they can fully observe what is in front of them. “Due to the numerous potential problems underwater, it’s also crucial to adhere to all safety precautions while diving,” she said. “One day I would like to see lots of female divers in Kashmir as beginners and professionals in lake diving.”
