Kashmir Editors Guild (KEG) Tuesday condoled the sudden death of a senior Journalist, Arshad Malik. Malik was currently associated with weekly, ‘Kashmir Life’ as it’s Consulting Editor.

Malik, an editor par excellence, died today evening after he suffered a heart attack.

Malik had complained of chest congestion since last few days. He used to travel using a bike to reach his office, however as he was headed for his office today he collapsed mid-way, one of his colleagues said.

He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared bought dead. Malik according to doctors had suffered a major heart attack.

Malik contributed a popular weekly column to Kashmir Life magazine (Straight Curve), since its inception in 2009.

In a statement,KEG, while expressing solidarity with the bereaved family and Kashmir Life, said that the editor’s body and the entire media fraternity is with them in their hour of grief and great loss.
