Panic gripped the Safron town of Pampore Saturday when the river Jehlum started overflowing its banks at Galandar near HP Gas plat.
Locals told Kashmir Life that water of the Jehlum overflowed its banks near the Gas plant and the river breached near the under construction bridge some meters away.
They said that water is fast moving towards the town resulting in the chaos and tension among the residents.
Locals said if something is not done immediately, the water will cause damage at large scale.
Meanwhile, the flood situation has further worsened as downpour has started again since morning.
