The two Kashmiri girls who were detained by airport authorities at Indira Gandhi International Airport on Friday morning have been recovered and handed over to Jammu and Kashmir Police team in New Delhi.

DIG Central Kashmir Range, Ghulam Hassan Bhat, told KNS that the two girls were recovered tonight and a police team of JK has taken them to Kashmir House at Chanakaypuri, New Delhi.

“The two girls are safe. Their families have been informed about their safety. They will be returning home early tomorrow morning in a flight,” Bhat said.

Four girls, pursuing MBBS in Bangladesh, were returning home on Go Air flight No G8179 when Delhi police detained them at IGI Airport.

As per families of the girls, two were released and two were detained. Parents of the girls alleged that the girls were detained for one of the luggage had ‘Bomb’ label written on it.
