On the eve of Mother’s Day, Kashmir Harvard School, Naseem Bagh Wednesday held cultural program in which students and teachers participated.
The different programs threw light on the importance and role of mother in the society.
A 10+2 level school, Kashmir Harvardians took part in Qur’an and Naat recitation. After the inaugural part, students presented a drama showcasing “sacrifices of a mother for her children”.
The school authorities while emphasising that students be taught the Kashmiri language, a group of students led the anthem of Kashmir Harvard in Kashmiri. Notably, the Kashmir Harvardians have themselves prepared the anthem of their school.
Later, chief guest of the occasion, Hafiza Muzaffar, (Ex-J&K SWC Member) impressed upon students to respect their mothers and sisters. “Mothers and sisters are epitome of sacrifices for a child, so children should keep this in mind when their mothers grow old.”
National Water Sports Coach, Bilqees Mir, who was also present on the occasion, cited her own example in her career. “It is because of my mother’s efforts that I have achieved this feat.”
More so, the students enthralled the audience with their melodious voice at the end of the program.
