Srinagar
The Srinagar-Jammu Highway was Friday reopened for traffic after remaining closed for one day due to heavy rains in Ramban and Udhampur districts followed by landslides.
Over 200 vehicles stranded at different places on the highway have been cleared after the road reopened.
The men and machines of BRO worked round-the-clock and cleared the blockade on the 300-km-long highway.
“Traffic on the highway has been restored after suspension due to landslides triggered by heavy overnight rains,” police officials said.
