The traffic spokesman said that the vehicles were not allowed to move due to shooting stones and landslides in Ramban- Banihal stretch on the highway. “Subject to fair weather and clearance of road, only stranded vehicles shall be allowed to move today,” the spokesman said.

Meanwhile, the historic Mughal road and Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road remained closed due to the accumulation of snow on the highway.

The spokesman advised the commuters not to travel during night hours, and confirm the status of the highway before moving ahead.

“People are advised to undertake a journey only after confirming the status of the road,” he said.
