Chief Minister of the Punjab province of Pakistan, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharief has “strongly condemned Indian atrocities and brutalities against unarmed Kashmiri people in Kashmir”, Radio Pakistan reported.
Earlier Shahbaz held a meeting with PaK president Masood Khan.
Chief Minister of Punjab province said, “Kashmiris could not be deprived of their right of freedom through the use of force and oppressive tactics.”
The report quoted him saying, “Kashmir is an incomplete agenda of partition and solution of Kashmir dispute is essential for lasting peace in the region.”
Shahbaz Sharif urged the world community to play its role to ensure the “right of self-determination to Kashmiris in the light of UN resolution”.
He said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had raised Kashmir issue forcefully at international forums.
President Pakistan Administered Kashmir Masood Khan said, “Indian forces could not crush the spirit of freedom of Kashmiris and the struggle of Kashmiri people was bound to succeed.”
