Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit has said globalisation has unleashed countless opportunities yet South Asia continues to the least integrated region in the world; this calls for serious introspection.”
Basit said that Jammu & Kashmir is about people not about territory. “We must avoid using the wrong words to avoid wrong conclusions,” Basit said.
“Peace cannot be achieved without talking to each other. We want stable region. We cannot build a stable and effective regional cooperative architecture on shaky bilateral structure,” he said.
Basit was a guest speaker at Rotary Club of Delhi Midtown, New Delhi, on Friday.
