Scores of lawyers on Tuesday held a protest demonstration in Srinagar against Jammu based counterparts for obstructing Crime Branch officials from filing charge sheet in Asifa rape and murder case.
A group of lawyers on Tuesday morning assembled outside the High court and staged a protest demonstration and strongly condemn the action of lawyers in Kathua.
Pertinently, on Monday, a group of lawyers in Jammu had prevented Crime Branch (CB) of Jammu and Kashmir Police from filing charge sheet into rape-and-murder of eight-year-old girl Asifa Bano at Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Kathua.
The move of lawyers has drawn condemnations and criticism from various quarters.
Notably, Jammu and Kashmir police has already registered a case against the lawyers for obstructing Crime Branch officials.
