National Conference has condemned in the strongest of terms the atrocities being committed by Israeli forces in Palestine, Masjid Al Aqsa and has expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine.

Condemning the Israeli attacks against Palestinians in east Jerusalem in unequivocal terms, the leaders led by Dr Farooq Abdullah said, “Even in the holy month of Ramzaan, Israel has unleashed an unjust and despicable war in east Jerusalem, Al Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Jarrah and Bab Al Amud resulting in the killing of scores of innocent Palestinians. Even women and children are not being spared.”

While expressing anguish and pain at the Israeli assault on Islam’s third holiest site Masjid Al Aqsa, National Conference leaders said, “Nothing can be more tragic than this deafening silence of some of the prominent Muslim countries on this latest Israeli aggression. Just to please the USA, they couldn’t muster the courage to condemn the Israeli aggression against the Palestinians,” adding, “They should put up a strong and united face and mount pressure on Israel and its allies to immediately stop this aggression in Palestine.”

They said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir stand in solidarity with the victims and those who are being forced out of their homes in this Holy Month. “We pray for justice, for a cessation of this violence and suppression and for the safeguarding of the lives of our brothers and sisters in Palestine”, they added.

Do You Know, The Israeli Al Aqsa Attack Is About Evicting A 38-Home Palestinian Locality?

The former chief minister and Peoples Democratic President, Mehbooba Mufti took to Twitter and wrote,

“Deafening silence of world community on deadly strikes by Israel against Palestine killing innocent civilians is shocking. Even symbolic condemnations come with a rider justifying the violence in the name of Israel’s right to self-defence. What about Palestine’s right to life?”

Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader, Prof Saifuddin Soz in a statement issued strongly condemned Israeli Aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“I strongly condemn the Israeli aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the surrounding area of Palestine. The least that the United Nations can do is to summon a session of the Security Council and condemn the Israeli aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque,” he said.

Further, he stated “One can understand the level of terrorist traits among the Israelis by the fact that when the humanity feels a natural urge during the present times to cherish and promote human values, the Israelis are indulging in terrorism. I think the entire peace-loving world will condemn the Israeli attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque. I also hope the United Nations Security Council will rise to the occasion and it will give a befitting response to Israel’s aggression.”

The Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulema (MMU) Jammu & Kashmir, led by incarcerated Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, has condemned the Israeli aggression on Masjid Al-Aqsa resulting in the killing of Palestinians.

In a statement issued here, the MMU has, “strongly condemned the bombing and killings of innocent Palestinians by oppressive Israeli and Zionist forces. MMU also strongly denounced that attack on innocent worshippers inside Masjid Al-Aqsa in occupied Jerusalem that too in the holy month of Ramadan and on the night of Laylat-ul-Qadr.”

The MMU leadership and its members in a statement termed the Zionist aggression and desecration of Islam’s third holiest site as an unacceptable and sheer violation of basic human rights and against the principles of justice.

This attack by Israel is “inhuman and exposed the nefarious motives of the occupier Zionist regime, which is to evict Palestinians from their home and Usurp their land. MMU expressed solidarity with the families of the martyrs.” The MMU called out on the Muslim nations and the “justice-loving” countries for their “criminal silence” saying their attitude is shameful and unfortunate.

It has further stressed upon the global human rights organisations, United Nations and OIC to rise to the occasion to rein in the oppressive Israeli regime and take steps to ensure the protection of lives, honour and properties of the people of Palestine.
