SRINAGAR: A retired government employee Mohammad Jamal Bhat passed away on Sunday after prolonged illness.
A resident of Poshpora, he died of cancer at his home. Bhat served Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Department. After he was detected with Lung cancer, post-retirement, he fought it for more than two years valiantly. Finally, he lost the battle on November 7, 2021.
Bhat is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter, all settled. He was laid to rest at his native village Poshpora on Sunday where hundreds turned up for his funeral.
He was uncle of Kashmir Life’s Online Editor, Tahir Bhat.
