SRINAGAR: Grandmother of Kashmir Life’s correspondent Hilal Shah, Jana Begum wife of Haji Ghulam Ahmad Shah left for a heavenly abode on Saturday late night at her home in Sonanaar village of Lolab area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district after a brief illness. She was 75 years old.
She is survived by her husband and a son. She was unwell for some time and breathed her last at her residence around 11:30 Pm.
Her funeral prayers will be held at 12:30 pm today at her native place Sonanaar. The family has confirmed that there will be no Charum of the deceased.
