The DEM Chair person while talking to a local news agency, KNS, informed that in her late meet with Aziz in Delhi on Sunday, she conveyed him about the prevailing situation in Kashmir. “I told Kashmiris want a stable Pakistan which is not only in the interest of our people but for the whole Muslim world.” Andrabi said that in her meet with Aziz she opined that there will be no compromise on Kashmir issue, and the ongoing movement for its resolution will be taken to its logical conclusion.

The DEM Chairperson said that Aziz was reminded of the UN resolutions passed from time to time on Kashmir issue. “There was a consensus in the meeting that UN resolutions form the basis for resolution of Kashmir dispute.”

The DEM Chairperson told KNS that she expressed her serious concern about the prevailing law and order situation in Pakistan saying that the social and political uncertainty in Pakistan is neither in the interest of that country nor for the entire Muslim world.

“Aziz invited me to come to Pakistan but since I don’t have the travel documents so I expressed my regrets. In past as well the Pakistan had also invited Geelani Sb, Miyan Abdul Qayoom and me but since we had no travel documents, we were not able to visit the country.”

During her meet with Aziz, she said, that any union between the pro-freedom leadership should be based on principles and the vision which is compatible with the political aspirations of people in Kashmir.
