Three persons, including an elderly man, were arrested in Hajin area of Bandipora in north Kashmir district during nocturnal raids by the government forces.
According to reports, those arrested were identified as Mohammad Umar Dar, Gowhar Ahmad Parray, and 75-year-old Sonaullah Bhat.
Locals alleged that the raids and arrest were in response to massive protests after killing of militants in the area and also the burial of non-local militant by the locals.
The family of Bhat alleged that he is suffering from many ailments and have accused the forces of committing excesses.
However, there is no official confirmation from the police about the raids and the arrests.
