Kashmir Observes Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Birth Anniversary with Devotion

   

SRINAGAR: A large number of Sikh devotees gathered at the historic Gurudwara Chatti Padshahi in Rainawari on Monday to celebrate the Prakash Parv of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the revered tenth Sikh Guru.

The Gurudwara resonated with prayers and hymns as devotees observed the Guru’s birth anniversary with spiritual devotion and fervour.

The day was marked by special prayer services, Kirtan (religious hymns), and the traditional Langar (community meal) served to all attendees.

One of the devotees, Harpreet Singh, remarked, “The profound message of Guru Gobind Singh Ji inspires us to lead a life of valour, humility, and service. Such teachings hold immense relevance in the current times.”

Kuldeep Kaur, another devotee, expressed pride in the celebration of Prakash Parv at Gurudwara Chatti Padshahi, stating, “It is a moment of great significance for the Sikh community in Kashmir—a day for reflection and devotion.”

The management committee of the Gurudwara lauded the participation of devotees from various parts of the valley. Proper arrangements had been made by the authorities to ensure the smooth flow of devotees, with police personnel deployed to maintain law and order as well as security. (KNO)
