Barring “a couple of incidents of stone pelting”, police on Thursday said Kashmir remained peaceful. Curfew restrictions were eased at many places including Budgam, Kupwara, Awantipora, Bandipore and Ganderbal,

There was no curfew relaxation in the main old city of Srinagar, towns of Pulwama, Kulgam, Yaripora, Pattan, Kangan, Langate and Handwara. Twin north Kashmir districts of Baramulla, Sopore witnessed brief relaxations late in the afternoon.

Police spokesman, meanwhile said Musaib Rasool Lone of Achabal, Sopore arrested in a case FIR No: 47/2013 of police station Baramulla, during a medical checkup complained of some blush in one of his eyes. He was referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.

A police officer speaking on the condition of anonymity said there were around 20 stone pelting incidents across Kashmir on Thursday. There were, however, no casualties. He put the arrests well over 100 including the separatist leaders and their sympathizers.

Kashmir is readying for strict curfew restrictions on Friday.
