Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, V K Bidhuri, informed the media that 50 Distribution Transformers (DTs) are being regularly damaged. He added that all but six damaged transformers have been repaired so far.

Bidhuri further said that power supply during the winter is expected to improve compared to previous years. He mentioned that all receiving stations are currently functional.

He also assured that adequate winter arrangements have been made, including sufficient stocks of diesel, petrol, gas, and other essentials.

Bidhuri noted that only the Razdan Pass and Zojila roads are closed due to fresh snowfall, while other major roads, including the Mughal Road, remain open for vehicular movement.
