Kashmir: Residents of Budshah Nagar in Natipora allege ‘discrimination’

Residents of Iqbal Colony Budshah Nagar in Natipora area of the city Sunday alleged that their area was left out by the authorities while macdamisation and construction of drains, resulting in submerging of the vast population of the area.

“It is irony that the authorities left out a big chunk of the population residing in Iqbal Colony while drains were constructed in rest of the Budshah Magar.Our area was left out even for macdamisation also”, a delegation of the area told reporters.

They said the water has entered into their Houses in the absence of drain. From House No 111 to 130 are underwater. The drain water has entered into houses resulting in huge damage to them.

“Ours is the only colony in the entire area of Natipora which was left out”, the residents said adding “they do not know the reason behind this attitude of the authorities towards the vast population.
