Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) on Friday has again reiterated that Kashmir dispute needs to be resolved to keep in view its historical perspective to end all mayhem and bloodshed in Kashmir. JKDFP Secretary General Moulana Mohammad Abdullah Tari said in a statement that resolution of Kashmir dispute is a guarantee to the secure, peaceful and prosperous South Asia.
Moulana Tari expressed dismay over the current human rights situation in the region and said that negative tendencies lead to the ruining of human values. He urged the need to understand the value of human lives, dignity and honour. Moulana Tari said that negative tendencies have made the Indian leadership to prolong their rule in Jammu and Kashmir and it is leading to a situation where youth find no way out than to take the path of the gun.
JKDFP Secretary-General expressed shock over the shameful incident of Kathua and said that even police charge sheet has vindicated that Muslims of Jammu region are living under a constant threat from the fanatic elements. Advocating stringent punishment for the perpetrators of the shocking crime in Kathua, Moulana Tari said that chastity, honour and dignity of every woman and girl are of utmost value, may it be our daughters in Kunan Poshpora, Shopian or little angel of Kathua.
Moulana Tari strongly condemned the naked dance of death and destruction going on in nook and corner of the disputed region and said that Kashmiri’s minds and hearts are badly maimed by the continuous killings that take place every now and then. The only reason for the ongoing bloodshed is that New Delhi is not ready to change its illogical stance about Kashmir dispute.
Expressing concern over the border skirmishes along the LoC or International Border, Moulana Tari said that unresolved Kashmir dispute adds fuel to the fire between India and Pakistan which also affects Kashmiris the most. He said that both the countries must understand the fact that unless Kashmir is resolved according to the wishes of the people, there can be no peace and stability between them.
