Kashmir: Several Areas to Face Power Disruptions

   

SRINAGAR: Power supply to several areas of Kashmir will be affected on October 8, 12 and 13 due to scheduled shutdowns of various 33 kV lines, the Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), has informed.

The 33 kV Badampora-Lar Tulmulla line will remain shut from 9 am to 3 pm on October 8 and 13, affecting supply to Tulmulla, Dangerpora, Theeru, Larsun and adjoining areas.

On October 8, the shutdown of the 33 kV Kangan-Surfraw line and the 33 kV Alasteng-Manigam Tapline from 9 am to 3 pm will affect power supply to Gund, Kullan, Surfraw, Gagangeer, Sonamarg, Fraw, Ganiwan, Manigam, Gutlibagh, Wayil, Benhama, PTS and adjoining areas.

The 33 kV Wanganpora-Kawdara-Mughal Masjid line will be shut from 9 am to 3 pm on October 12. As a result, power supply to Zadibal, Mughal Masjid, Kawdara, Rajouri Kadal, Jamia Masjid, Firdous Colony, Bacchi Darwaza and adjoining areas will be affected.

Meanwhile, KPDCL has cancelled the approved shutdown of the 33 kV KP Bagh line scheduled for October 10.

The shutdowns have been announced by the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL.
