A complete shutdown is being observed on third consecutive day across Kashmir in the backdrop of the shutdown call given by Joint Resistance Leadership against the killing of militants and civilians in Srinagar and Shopian districts of Kashmir.

All the shops business establishments’ government and private offices remained closed on the third day, while traffic is off the roads.

The shutdown call was given by JRL comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mohammad Yasin Malik, Mohammad Umar Farooq against the killing of five civilians after forces opened fire into protesters in Shopian on May 6, who were demonstrating against the death of five militants, including to Hizb commander Saddam Padder, in Badigam village of the south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
