Kashmir to Host First ever ‘Kids Tag Rugby’

The Jammu and Kashmir Rugby Association under the aegis of Indian Rugby Football Union and supervision of J&K Rugby Association is going to organise first ever ‘Tag Rugby’ Tournament for the age grade of under 10 years, under 12 years and under 14 boys and girls.

“This is the first ever mini rugby event for kids of below 10 – 14 years,” a statement said adding, “it is played first time Indoors in sub continent; such indoor rugby events are widely played across the globe.”

Sarmad Hafeez ( IAS) Vice chairman, LAWDA will be the Chief Guest.

The Format

TAG RUGBY ( Non Contact) and 5 players and 2 players substitute will play in each team.

More than 200 boys and girls will enjoy this tournament and only fresher’s are allowed to participate in the event, the aim of this event to is promote Olympic Sports among youngsters.
