Speaking at the inauguration event of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) and associated infrastructure projects, Sinha expressed deep gratitude to the Prime Minister for “connecting the people of Jammu and Kashmir with the national mainstream through development.”

He lauded the engineers and workers involved in the execution of the USBRL project, describing their efforts as “not merely a work of cement and iron, but a medium of development” for Jammu and Kashmir. The newly built Chenab and Anji Khad bridges, part of the rail network, are seen as engineering marvels and symbols of national integration.

The Lieutenant Governor also thanked the Prime Minister for the upcoming inauguration of the Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence, terming it a significant step towards strengthening the healthcare infrastructure in the region.

Referring to the government’s swift action in the aftermath of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, he appreciated “Operation Sindoor” and the security forces’ prompt response.

Sinha highlighted the transformation in Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. “You (PM Modi) have created such infrastructure that Kashmir is now on a developmental path. Even small villages today are dreaming big,” he said.
