The joint association of Kashmir traders on Thursday called for complete shutdown in Lal Chowk and adjacent areas from 3.30 pm on Friday against attacks on Kashmiris outside the state.
The traders said that they have also decided to carry out a protest rally from Ganta Ghar area of Lal Chowk at 04:00 pm on Friday in this regard.
Kashmir Traders Manufacturing Federation (KTMF) president, Muhammad Yasin Khan said that in view of attacks on Kashmiri students, businessmen outside the Valley, the traders jointly have decided to observe a complete shutdown from Friday 03:30 pm and will later organize a rally in solidarity to the Kashmiris who were either attacked or harassed outside Valley.
Earlier various Kashmiri students, employees and traders were attacked and asked to vacate their rented accommodations outside valley following tension over the killing of 49 CRPF personnel in Lethpora attack.
