Traffic jam in Srinagar

The event, scheduled from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, will feature participants, including VIPs, running from the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) to the Botanical Garden. To manage traffic flow and prevent congestion, Srinagar Traffic Police has designated specific parking zones for participants, including the Police Golf Course, Royal Spring Golf Course, Jet Ski Point, Botanical Garden, and Barista near Lalit Ghat.

During the event, traffic restrictions will be in place on Boulevard Road, from Lalit Ghat to Kralsangri. Motorists heading to Nishat, Shalimar, and Harwan are advised to use the Dalgate-Rainawari-Hazratbal route as an alternative. For those travelling from Harwan, Shalimar, and Nishat towards Lal Chowk, the Foreshore-Hazratbal route is recommended.

Additionally, drivers from Gulab Bagh, Zakoora, Naseembagh, Habbak, and surrounding areas are encouraged to use the Habak-Dargah-Khanyar route instead of Foreshore Road.

Participants are urged to park only in designated areas, as vehicles left along the roadside will be towed. Emergency vehicles will be given priority and allowed to use the quickest available routes.

For any assistance or queries, the public may contact the Traffic Police Control Room at 103.
