National Conference (NC) patron and union minister Dr Farooq Abdullah Sunday stated that the state of Jammu and Kashmir will cease to be the part of Indian Union if India becomes communal.

Dr Farooq who is the candidate for Srinagar’s Lok Sabha parliamentary seat for Srinagar while addressing a rally at old city’s Khaniyar area stated that the people of Kashmir have never nourished communalism and have always rejected the fight on the bases of religion, cast and creed. Dr Farooq also stirred a fresh controversy when he stated that ‘those who support Modi should jump into the sea’.
