SRINAGAR: Two deaf athletes from Kashmir are set to participate in a Ski championship in Turkey, media reports said.
Majid Nazir and Mohammed Saleem Wani will represent India in the upcoming 20th Winter Deaflympics in Turkey from March 2 to 12.
On the invitation of All India Sports Council of the Deaf, New Delhi, the athletes are nominated by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Association of the Deaf.
Majid Nazir is a skier from Lolab Kupwara, and Saleem Wani is an ex-skier coach from Srinagar.
On February 27, the duo embarked on their journey to compete against athletes worldwide and display their talents on the global stage, reports added.
