A former Kashmir Life staffer and journalist, Aliya Bashir, has won a top Indian award.
Aliya was awarded for her reporting on Mental Health by Schizophrenia Research Foundation India (SCARF) and Press Institute of India (PII) in Chennai.
Actor Revathy Asha Kelunni gave away the awards at the 3rd edition of SCARF that was held on 20th October 2015 at SCARF auditorium in Chennai.
While Aliya Bashir bagged the first prize, Divya Chandrababu of The Times of India was awarded second prize.
