A Kashmiri origin entrepreneur’s tech company ‘One Concern’ has been awarded Tech Pioneer by World Economic Forum for the year 2019.

One Concern is among the 56 companies that the World Economic Forum has named its Technology Pioneers 2019, an article on WEF website said. The announcement was made on July 1.

One Concern was founded by Ahmad Wani, a tech entrepreneur of Kashmiri origin and two others. The company is based in Palo Alto in California, USA.

In 2016, Ahmad and his co-founder Nichole Hu featured in the prestigious Forbes Magazine’s 30 under 30 Tech Enterprise list.

The company uses  Artificial intelligence for natural disaster resilience.

The WEF website explains one concern as, “a benevolent artificial intelligence company with a mission to save lives and livelihoods before, during and after disasters.”
