SRINAGAR: Bollywood’s “serial kisser” Emraan Hashmi has to use his Twitter handle to deny reports that he was hurt in a stone pelting incident while shooting in Kashmir. His crew had a momentary spell of inconsequential stone pelting in Pahalgam when they were wrapping up for the day on Sunday.

“The people of Kashmir have been very warm and welcoming, it has been an absolute joy shooting in Srinagar and Pahalgam,” Emraan Hashmi tweeted early on Tuesday. “The news of me being injured in a stone pelting incident is inaccurate.”

The news about the actor getting hurt is incorrect. However, the crew had to face a momentary and inconsequential spell of stone pelting while shooting Ground Zero in Pahalgam.

Reports said that the police in Pahalgam did register a case in the stone pelting incident and one person was actually arrested.

“During the ongoing film shooting at Pahalgam, on 18th Sept, at the closing of the shooting at 7:15 pm, one miscreant pelted stones at the crew members,” a brief police statement said. “Accordingly, FIR was registered at Police Station Pahalgam. The miscreant was identified and arrested.” A case has been registered under Sections 77/22 U/S 147, 148, 370, 336, and 323.

Directed by Tejas Deoskar, Ground Zero has Sai Tamhankar and Zoya Hussain in the lead roles. Sai Tamhankar is playing his reel life wife in the film.
