Expressing serious concern over the ongoing human rights violations by the men in uniform in nook and corner of the disputed region, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) has said that trying to set ablaze residential houses during nights clearly indicates that men in uniform are not accountable anywhere.

JKDFP spokesperson said in a statement that the incident which took place in Gandbugh Kakapora is not only highly condemnable but the concerned human rights orgainsations should take serious note of it.

Vandalising of graves by Indian forces is also a new edition to the ongoing oppression in the region.  The government forces have in fact let loose a reign of terror by violating every human right throughout the valley turning the life of the common people into a hell.

The men in uniform are also on an arrest spree throughout the valley even hundreds of innocent people mostly youth are languishing in different jails, police stations and torture centers. The arrests are being made on fictitious allegations which forces fail to prove before courts. However, when courts pass bail orders they are not honoured by the police authorities making a joke of the whole judicial system.

Democratic Freedom Party expresses its deep anguish over the ongoing rights violations and oppressive measures at the government level. Terming the disputed region as a lawless land where the men in uniform work on their own choice, Freedom Party said that mere statements of so-called rulers are only proving salt on the wounds of Kashmiri’s.

Democratic Freedom Party statement appealed the international and local human rights bodies, forums and individuals to take serious cognizance of the worst situation of the disputed region so that unruly forces and authorities are tamed.
