Quoting   Omer Abdullah for his claims about the safety of Kashmir outside state, Geelani has said, “His claim proved to be mere hoax as Kashmiri are still being terrified and harassed at the hands of different agencies.”

As per a statement Geelani has emphasized over Telli’s immediate release and added that local police have failed to provide any clue and the family members of the missing youth were told that they are not in position to provide any assistance or help. “Though Pervaiz Ahmad Telli has been missing for several days, but his family is not being provided any kind of information about his whereabouts,” said Geelani.

“Pervaiz Ahmad Telli has a beard over his face and follows the norms and Islamic rituals and it is apprehended that the intelligence agencies on suspicion might have taken into custody and interrogating him,” reads statement.
